So, you are a graduate from the Nigerian Institute of Journalism (NIJ), Ogba, growing up did you actually wanted to be a media girl or your parents pushed you?

Well not really because aside wanting to school outside Lagos State far away from home, I have always wanted to study Theater Art because I had a thing for drama while growing up in Churches and School as it was a big deal for me and everyone who knew me. But you know how the system works here with Admission into Universities in the Country.

Eventually after three attempt which the 3rd one landed me in NIJ and here we are today, as it was a wonderful experience.

You have featured in some adverts on national TV, how has the journey been for you?

My journey in featuring in national TV adverts has been nothing short of remarkable. It all began when I secured the 2nd place Ambassador title in Miss Photogenic NIJ 2018, which ignited my passion to pursue my dreams in the entertainment industry. Subsequently, I competed and emerged as Queen Influential Lagos Most Beautiful Girl 2019, which opened doors to various opportunities.

This journey led me to explore diverse roles, including fashion modeling, video vixen, participating in the ‘Shoot your Shot’ African Magic show, and even appearing in commercials for renowned brands like Malta Guinness (‘Share Goodness’), MTN, Jameson Black Barrel, and Go.Tv. Additionally, I had the privilege of acting as a journalist in the Nollywood movie ‘Scama O Rama.’
Undoubtedly, the path has had its fair share of ups and downs, but I’m grateful for every experience and the chance to pursue my dreams in front of a nationwide audience.

How have you been able to shuffle between media job and schooling?

Balancing my media job with schooling has been quite a journey. There were challenging moments when casting calls or shooting schedules conflicted with my classes. However, I was determined to stay on top of my education. To make up for missed classes, I diligently completed assignments and, when necessary, sought assistance from my class governor, Adedapo Adesanya, who proved to be a tremendous help. I’m also grateful to my seat partners, Victoria Philips and Jane Ugochukwu, for recording lectures I couldn’t attend.

Moreover, I want to express my appreciation to my fellow course-mates, including Doris Israel, Queen Alfred, Blessing Edet, Mercy Igwejiaku, Jessica Maduka, Chioma Ezeotu, Timilehin Adegunloye, Ebuka Aduzie, Janet Omoyajowo, Kemi Olabode, Oyindamola Lamidi, and Kehinde Ogunronbi, Victoria Ekpo and Faithful Afamefuna. They generously shared their lecture notes when I couldn’t be present in class. Their support and the gift of their existence in my academic journey have been invaluable.

If you could reflect on your journey so far in the industry, aside your parents, which gender has been most supportive?

“When reflecting on my journey in the industry, I’m deeply appreciative of the strong support I’ve received from both genders. Notably, my Big Brother Kenny Kings has been a pillar of encouragement, offering unwavering support and prayers, especially during challenging moments. Additionally, Mr. Gabriel Micah’s dedication in providing his vehicle for logistics and ensuring my safety on set locations has been invaluable. Beyond these individuals, numerous close friends and colleagues, modeling agencies regardless of gender, have played pivotal roles by referring job opportunities, contributing significantly to my growth and development in this industry.”

It is believed that as a lady just coming up in the media industry, and with a pretty face, you will need to warm few beds to get to the top, How true is this?

Just like my Father Mr Kings will say, “A Good name is better than Sliver or Gold” that saying has been a huge reminder before making any decision…So I have never been pressured to do so either. Because, once you sleep your way through, I’m sure you already know what follows… I believe if it is for me and I go through the right ways, I will get. In all, I attribute much of my progress to God’s Grace!

To become big, you need to take risk, can you risk having a nude photo for a product and smile to the bank with several millions?

Taking risks is an important part of one’s success, but sharing nude photos for a product promotion is neither ethical as such doesn’t align with my godliness and belief. There are better, more legitimate ways to achieve financial success and grow your career rather than nude options for cash.

About your skin, how do you maintain it to best fit into every production over the years?

Over the years, I have tried nothing but avoiding organic or bleaching products that will be harsh on my skin. I also pay attention to my diet, opting for less fatty foods and more vegetables and protein. Additionally, I use sunscreen to protect my skin from the sun when necessary, all to complement my moisturizing skincare routine. This holistic approach, which I like to call ‘Abba’s Glow,’ helps me maintain my skin’s flexibility and adaptability for various productions over the years.

How much can the Nigerian President give to you to stay back in Nigeria and not leave?

My commitment to my country and my decisions regarding where I live are based on personal values, priorities, and aspirations. Financial incentives should not be a factor in such decisions.
