As Nollywood actors continue to take on more emotionally intense and romantic roles, some fans have begun to blur the lines between fiction and reality, sparking online debates and speculations with the recent axe on Nollywood actress, Bolaji Ogunmola.
Actress Bolaji Ogunmola recently found herself at the centre of such controversy after a fan questioned the frequency of her romantic scenes with actor Daniel Etim. The criticism followed her appearance in a new project, where she shared intimate on-screen moments with the actor.
Reacting to the scenes, a social media user wrote, “To be honest, you and Daniel kissing movies is too much and it’s looking like you guys are an item. Why didn’t you kiss the 1st guy ‘Anthony ‘ in your new movie. Remember that was how Yul and Judy started. Feelings can develop”
However, Ogunmola, who is currently promoting her new movie THE BLOOM AFTER, did not let the remark slide. The actress responded strongly, dismissing the insinuations and defending her professionalism.
In her words, “You think because you lack boundaries and have no respect for yourself everyone acts and carry themselves like that you absolute fool. I don’t care what happened to any other actor… so of us have plenty dignity and self-respect.
“Your opinion about things is a direct representation of who you are and what you stand for. Things I have learned so many people aren’t professionals and people lack strong boundaries and are cheats themselves if the situation enables them
